Driver problems with my video capture card?

Ok, so I've got and installed my Pinnacle Systems DV v8 and when it came to installing the drivers it failed that Windows XP thing about unsigned/unapproved drivers. In the installation guide it said this would happen and to press continue, which I did.

Now, when I open the device manager, in the control panel in the sound, video and game controller sub menu there are 3 devices with errors.

There's a pinnacle linx one with an error code 10 saying the device can't start.

There's also a pinnacle systems studio av/dv e4 that has an error code 38 against it and finally there's an error code 31 against the pinnacle systems studio av/dv overlay driver.

Would any-one know what this is all about? Have I done something wrong or would this be down to installing the unsigned/unapproved drivers?

I have had this before with other device drivers on other devices and all I've done is update the driver in the device manager and they've then installed properly but this time it doesn't work.

:((((

You may find the answer click here But I would remove the card from Device Manager first...and any entries in Add/Remove programs and try the card in another pci slot (or reseat it ) first.

Thanks for the advice.

Just registered to the site, looked through the previous threads. Didn't find one that applied to my problem so I posted my own query and had a reponse within an hour and a half that sorted the problem out.

Cheers
