I have just attached a new 160 GB external hard disk to my PC. I have tried to set up 3 x 50 GB partions, but although it does so, I can only access 1 partition, because there are no labels for the other two partitions. I have set it up with FTMS

Can anyone advise please.

I've never heard of FTMS. Could you perhaps mean NTFS? Assuming you are running Windows XP, right-click 'My Computer' and choose 'Manage' from the menu. Click 'Disk Management' and you should be able to see all your drives in the right-pane and you can format and set drive letters and labels from here.

A more helpful thread title would bring a better response.

right click My Comptuter - manage - storage - disk management.

can you see the partitions in disk management if so right click initialise / format

I don't know anything about a driver 'John'. What is the driver for? Have you checked in Device Manager for conflicts?

Is his name for some reason he has used it for his title

Name, Title, same thing I suppose.

Driver John, I would draw your attention to the heading marked "Title" when posting. This clearly says "Please ensure that your thread title Accurately describes your subject".
