Driver error

  Kernow999 08:52 23 Aug 05

My p.c. crashes sometimes and the 'Send error message' comes back from Microsoft saying that it is a driver error.
I used to use 98 but now have XP. Is there anything that I can run to see if I need to upgrade any driver software i.e. if there is something incompatible.
I have a new tower unit but all the other hardware is the same.

Sorry that was the wrong link

If you follow my link and do what it tells you in the Recovery Settings paragraph, you will then see what is causing the problem and then post the result, I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Tries that but nothing happened.
Any suggestions, please?

I have looked there. Do I look under system? There is a 'log' of my errors there. 102 gets a mention a few times but that means nothing to me.

You will only see a message when the PC crashes after changing the settings. Has it crashed since you did?

Ah I see. No it hasn't..........yet!

Ta much

Strawballs: It would not let me setup as my version is newer??

Al94: It crashed. Came up with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL then a load of writing then STOP: 0x0000000A (Ox08000060, 0x00000002, 0x804EC317)

Does this mean anything to anyone.
Microsoft say that it is a driver error but I cannot determine which driver. I have nothing new.

Thanks again
