Driver causing reboot, etc.

Hi all

I've just put in an extra 512Mb RAM to go with 1Gb RAM. I also changed my GFX card from a Radeon 9550 to a Radeon Pro 9800.

Do you know, could the RAM be causing a random reboot and the 'error caused by device driver' message? Is it the graphics card?

If the latter, what is the best way of cleaning up old drivers and reinstalling?

Any advice welcome!

Thanks.

sounds like the case to me. what type of ram is it??? and what mobo is it?

Not sure about type of RAM. Both 1Gb and 512Mb stick are PC3200 DDR 400 - different brands though.

I also installed the new Catalyst drivers after I changed GFX cards.

try installing the drivers u got with your graphics card.. uninstall the previouse drivers by going to the device manager.
