Drive Image,NTFS & Fat32

I will be installing a new drive shortly (120GB)and wondering if I format the whole drive with NTFS partitions is it then possible to restore drive images which were from FAT32 drives. If it's not viable then the solution would seem be to format & restore in FAT 32 and then convert to NTFS with PartitionMagic.
Anyone tried this?

To restore the image you will need a partition size equal or greater to the partiton size that was imaged.

Any smaller and you cannot restore the image...

What your best doing is partitoning the drive. A partition for the os that you want to use and partiton for the images that you wish to restore...

But i'm sure you can restore FAT32 to an NTFS partition as the data will be overwritten. Meaning FAT32 partition after the restored image.

You can convert to NTFS.
