Drive Image Discontinued

Aoplogies if this has been posted before but click here
for the info. There is also a new version of Ghost which seems to have gone up in price a bit.

If you are using DI7 there is a free update click here that fixes a few problems. (So they say).

Its a shame really. I find DI easier to use, there are fewer stages in the process, it stays in Windows (No dos required), and no confusing questions about USB drivers or Startup discs.

Unless of course Ghost 9 is a rebadged DI.

Hardly surprising that Symantec should do this, but I have to say I think Acrinis True Image is far superior in use and function to both Ghost and Drive Image.

Whoops - Acronis not acrinis

Ghost 9 is built upon DI7.

They've added more stuff.

But does it matter? If DI7 still doess what you want it to do then don't worry.

I'm not really worried. I use both, paranoid I suppose. If Ghost is now based on DI I can probably drop one of them.
