Drive F needs to be Drive D

I disconnected my 2nd HDD (drive D) to reformat my main HD. Now, it shows up as drive F. How would I change the order back so it's drive D again?

Thx

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management.

When it says change drive letter, it starts at F so I can't change it to D.

Change D to the next free one which I assume is G, then D will be free and you can change F to D and then change G to H - if you see what I mean.

Just a small point? Do you have any optical drives installed?

If so, Uninstall one, both or whatever and reboot.

Then Uninstall your F drive and reboot. Windows should install it as D (hopefully!)

Then Reinstall the optical drives individually and reboot in between, which will continue the drive letters sequence as required.

I did the shuffle and fixed it...didn't initially see my optical drives listed. Thx
