I removed my A drive to use in another computer and have now put it back into the old one. During startup I now receive 2 beeps and then 1 beep with a message -
A: Drive Error
Press F1 to Resume
Is there anyway of stopping this?

Most PCs are set to boot from the A drive. When you removed the A drive from original computer did it run without A drive? If so your PC's BIOS is booting from C drive. You would need to go to BIOS and re-set it to boot from A drive.

Hi Guys, sorry for lateness, I'm just back from exercising the credit card with the trouble and strife. Anyway, my boot sequence was CD, Floppy then C drive so I changed it to Floppy, CD then C drive but I still get the 2 short beeps and 1 short beep and the message to press F1. (I'm now going to try C drive, CD then Floppy)
I have checked all cabling and nothing is amiss and I can read and write from the floppy.
I will let you know how I get on after I've helped with the unpacking.

I changed the Bios again but no success so I guess I'll just have to put up with it but thanks for all your help anyway. Cheers.
