Drawer opening virus

I have a machine which frequently takes it into its head to open and close the two CD ROM drawers. Has anyone come across this before, and if so, what is the cure? I can't find mention of a virus this does this on any of the virus info sites that I use.

I've seen a similar thing and the file was called "coke tray" or something like that.

You could try running spybot, ad-aware or scanning with your AV. Are you sure its a virus?

There are "joke" programs that do this. Have you let any "friends" near your machine recently?

There are other reasons as well like loose connections and such like - also it may be a faulty drive although if both drives are doing this, it seems unlkely.

Do a thorough check against all types of nasties - Anti-virus, spyware, adware, trojans etc.

Check that all the connectors at the back of the devices are fully pushed home.
