Drag, drop and burn

Hi,

I used to be able to burn info to disc simply by opening the window of the blank disc when it has been inserted and dragging and dropping the selected files to this point. Then it offered a command in the top left corner to "burn these files". Job done. Something strange must have happened to the pc because this option is no longer there. How do I rectify this?

Rgds,
Shane

Silly question but in the window that you drag and drop your files to is there a heading down the left hand side called 'CD Writing Tasks' with two downward facing arrows next to it?

no DJ - its there is nothing at all to suggest it might carry out a burning task ..

Ok, try this. In the burning window click on Tools, Folder Options, on the General tab under Tasks is the dot next to Show Common Tasks in Folders or is it next to Use Windows Classic Folders. If the second option has been chosen, change it to show the common tasks and click OK.

It was always on the "show common tasks" - just that option is gone... frustrating isn't it!

Do you get the option to write the files to CD if you click on the File menu in the cd burning window?
