I have 3 Meg broadband running with Windows Xp. Any idea as to what i should set my Tcp Recieve window to and also what should the Mtu setting be?
Thank you.

tried dr tcp no noticible difference

I cured an erratic Tiscali 1MB service (often down to 140kbps at times) by using DrTCP - it now registers 1.25MB regularly and, very occasionally, 1MB.

The figures I'm using are 12762 in the Top Receive Window and 1458 in both the DialUp(RAC) and MTU panels at the bottom.

They don't work for everyone - you'll just have to experiment. Here's a well known website guide:

Both DrTCP and TCP Optimiser are mentioned above - DrTCP is much more simple to use and configure for people like me....:-(
