downloading images to samsung d500

I want to know how to get images from my pc to my samsung d500 mobile phone. I installed a usb data cable and drivers and software, but when I use it to connect the phone to my pc, it doesn't show the phone or usb hub (normally F:) as an option to download images to.

Also, I tried to get my pc to recognise my phone as a bluetooth device. I had bluetooth activated and visible on the phone, but on the control panel on my windows XP, there's no 'add bluetooth device' option, which seems to be missing. Brief search on internet seems to think this may be problem resulting after sp2 install, but can't seem to find any solutions. Any advice anyone please?

I've seen a similar query on another website (for a Samsung E330N) and apparently you have to install the pims file mamager software on the PC and the image editing utility (tinterweb - Samsung/support/downloads).
