Downloading files and burning to disc

Hello,
I've been told I can download a program from the net, from a reputable company, using another computer as mine does not have broadband and the download time would be very long on dialup.

However, I do not know how to go about this, never having done it before.
Do I save the program as it downloads and then burn it to disc?
Many thanks.

In a word yes. If on download you choose save rather than run and save it to somewhere obvious like desktop you can then send it to the CD drive and copy it to a CD.

Its good practice anyway to make a back up copy like that.

Thanks very much. You make it sound very simple so I hope it is!
