Downloading and converting .ASX files

  Ade_1 15:43 19 Dec 08

I am needing to download a .ASX file from my College intranet as the guys who uploaded it for me didn't save it to my user account. I need to do some work on it over the holidays, however, by time I was informed of its arrival on the intranet it was too late to get in touch with them.

Anyway, basically, I would like to know how I could download a .ASX file which I will then be able to convert to a WMV or another format that so as I can use it in Windows Movie Maker.

All help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I did some further digging prior to receiving the reply and found the following link to be very helpful. The only downfall was that there was no audio. Luckily it isn't necessary in this instance!

Audio in Windows Media Player, not in VLC.
