downloading AVG free

Anyone else had probblems doing this? I use AVG and want to download a copy for a friend who has a dial-up connection.
First it took me all over the place to get the download (eventually to CN Net) and then it was going to take 40 mins or so - on a good broadband connection.
Something wrong, surely?

try again I got a copy for a friend this morning and it took about 2 minutes.

In my experience, the forecast download time shown in the download window is often very unreliable. Sometimes it'll start off showing perhaps 300 minutes, and the download will eventually take 10 minutes!

I downloaded AVG's Anti-Rootkit this morning in seconds.

tried a differnet site - Czech, much quicker - but got strange error message "The action cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open" and it gives error code 0x800704C8
What does this mean?

when do you get the error?
is it copying to another location?
Nuts d/l is very quick by the way.
An example of the error code

thanks, *Raven*

I'm saving it to desktop (as I always do with such things). Happens at about 90 or 99% completed downloading.
new machine with Vista home premium.
I'll download on my laptop (XP) instead nd see what happens there.
