Download Trojan

  seventiesdolly 12:11 18 Apr 06

I've just run a scan with NIS2005 which informed me I had a download trojan on my pc, but that it had fixed it.
Would this trojan have altered anything in my registry, and where could it have come from? I haven't been aware of anything downloading while i've been online...

I'm running WinXP Home SP2
Microsoft anti-spyware

Are you sure thats the name of the virus as I can't find it listed click here

Did a google search for it and it may be a downloader trojan, try Counterspy, 15 day free trial and see if that gets rid of it click here

Yep. That's what was listed.

Downloaded Counterspy (all 13mb of it!) as suggested by 'Totally-braindead', only to be told the program couldn't run as 'scripthost access is disabled' and I should contact administrator?!

Sorry about that, I never had any problem with Counterspy, in fact I liked it so much I paid the subscription.
