Download problem

After a re-format my Son decided we should have our seperate login's on the PC. I don't mind but there are a few quirks I'd like to sort out. When I download say, Winamp it goes on the main desktop, neither mine or the lad's. How do I get it to go on both and how do I distribute the downloads that are already done to that location. Does this make sense. TR

Go into the Administrator account

I assume you have 1 admin account and then 2 other accounts (yours and your lads)?

Therefore you have 3 accounts?

You have to use the Administrator account

What you have to do is go to start>all programmes

Now locate the programme, right click on the link to start the programme and then drag it to the desktop, now let go of the mouse and a box will appear, select "copy here"

Now restart your computer and your account and your lads should have the shortcut on the desktop

Or have i missed what you are saying?

Don't know if you've missed the point until I try it, will it work in 98SE and how do I get into the Administrator account? TR

you said it "goes on the main desktop, neither mine or the lad's"

so i assumed that you had XP

Basically what I'm saying is if we both want Winamp, how do we get it on our individual settings? TR
