Download Manager

Can anyone suggest a good download manager? Im running XP at the moment and want to download updates and save them to a hard drive to then apply to multiple machines. The updates may be Microsoft or may be other programs. I really want to be able to line up all the updates I wwant to save and then run them between 1am and 7am on one machine.

Does anything exist that can do this and if so what is the best one?

For Windows, you can go click here and type in XP (for example), click "Search", that will list all the updates available, select the ones you want by clicking "Add", then click on "View Basket", click "Download" and choose where you want to save them on your hard drive.
