DOS screen distorted

When I use Norton Ghost in DOS the screen is distorted. It's split so that what should be the top of the screen appears right near the bottom and vice versa. This makes it really difficult when trying to select options using the mouse particularly as some parts of the sceen are not visible at all.
I've also noticed this is happening when Windows XP is starting up - the logo is higher up the screen than it used to be.

Anyone any ideas how I can resolve this?

Thanks

disable tv out if you have it on your graphics card maybe.

not sure about norton in dos but with tv out enabled when windows starts up my post screen is distorted(squashed and to one side)

try using pause break when window starts and then the monitor buttons to adjust that screen.maybe

I'd like to follow this one. My POST screen has also recently started to become distorted -- usually shifted left a bit, but sometimes down also -- but my desktop is always okay when it comes up.

this is normal if tv out is enabled.

I don't have tv out on my graphics card.

Any other suggestions?

have you tried adjusting the screen size using the monitor buttons?

Sorry, I'd forgot to try that. While using Ghost in DOS I pressed the 'Auto adjust' button on my monitor and the screen sorted itself out!

Thanks for your help.
