Domain name problem

Hello Everyone,
Can someone throw some light on this problem for me please? My ISp went down and I lost my webpages. I re-uploaded them and since then one of my webpages refuses to open unless I tag on 'index.htm'

The webpage is at click here

Anyone know why I have to add index.htm to the URL?

The first page the site displays when someone accesses it is called index.htm. (or index.php, index.html etc ).

If there is no index.??? page the server doesn't know which page to serve and either generates an error page or shows a directory of the site.

Therefore you have to name your first page index.htm to make the site work properly and that page display first.

Hi, there was an index.htm of course, or surely by adding this text to the domain name it would not have been able to open the index.htm?????

I have now managed to sort the problem, simply by uploading the website again.

Many thanks.
