Does Vista have a file syncronisation utility?

I used to use the Windows Briefcase to syncronise files between my hard drive and a small portable drive. Now I have Windows Vista I can't find the Briefcase.

I've found Windows Sync but that seems geared up to syncing mobile devices like phones and PDAs not portable hardrives or USB memory sticks.

Does Vista have such a utility now, or do I have to lash out and buy such a programme?

I use Sync Toy to back up (Sync) files to my external HDD. Very efficient in Vista.
