does my laptop have a wireless card ?

Hi there ,
I was given a laptop as a gift . It is an IBM thinkpad R51 and is supposed to come fitted with an 802.11b wireless card .

I could not detect the adaptor in the hardware lists so I downloaded and installed the driver which installed ok and even shows up as running in the active programs list ...

...however i still cannot find any sign of the card in the laptops hardware lists . Is there a diagnostic I can do to see if the card is installed or not ?I would rather not open the laptop if I do not have to although I realise if the card is not there I will have to open it anyway :)the os is xp ...

Thanks in advance.

This laptop has on board wireless. If you look in Network connections you should see it there and configure it by right clicking on it's icon and selecting properties. Terry
