Does Ipod touch 3G battery "overcharge"?

  KorgY 20:09 14 Dec 09

I am getting my Brother an Ipod touch 32 gb (3rd gen) for Christmas. Anyway, I wanted to know if the ipod touch "overcharges" when left in for charging Via USB? - (as I understand you have to send the ipods back to apple for battery changing and are not "user changable").

Or.... do the new Ipods have some sort of "battery management" (like my Sony Vaio laptop which stops charging once it gets to 100%)

Thanks for replies
