Does Ghost affect RAM usage ?

If i created a Ghost image from a PC that had 64K of memory and then put that image on another PC that had same hardware spec apart from more memory (128K) would that mean half of the memory would not be used ?

Correct. However - 'same hardware spec' would need to be pretty exact in most other respects to avoid problems, because the image file would be set up with all the drivers etc from the host PC. So if you swapped the image file to a different PC with the same CPU but (for example) a different make of motherboard, the image dump would work but you might get problems when you reboot.

Oddly enough, RAM is one of the few things that probably wouldn't be affected because it doesn't need drivers.

If you were 'ghosting' XP wouldn't there be a problem with the activation?
