Does disabling Screensaver save memory?

Hi, my friend has disabled his screensaver and wallpaper on his Vista desktop to 'save memory', is this correct please?
Ps- i know that disabling the sidebar saves memory but iv never heard of this.

Disabling the screensaver makes no difference (or no difference that's discernible.

Disabling wallpaper can make a minor difference - but if there's plenty of RAM in a system, it's not worth doing. On a system very low on RAM it might help a little.

Nope. If he has Windows Defender, he can disable programs from starting. This doesn't 'save memory', just speeds things up.

No but it saves money if you turn the screen off when you are not there
