Hi , i had a memory module in a one year old Dell, lately ive been getting Msg's, like unable to write to xxxxxxx ( and the like!).

The program would then shut down.

I changed the memory in the Dell and added the module to my Athlon based 'puter and now am getting random shutdowns.

I've removed the "suspect" module and the Athlon seems to be OK (naw should not have said that, the thing will go up in smoke now!!!!)

It kinda seems a bit obvious that the memory module is a suspect one, am i right,

Is there a memory tester i could get (4 Free!)
just to be sure, before i use it as a key fob!

Its a Samsung 256MB DDR module.

Will make a tasty key fob!!!!
