Hi there,

Need some of your special help to sort out a problem when my Windows XP computer is started up for the day.

I get the following error message:-

"user system32.dll has been relocated due to the dll System32\hhctrl.ocx residing in section of memory reserved for windows files. The application will not run properly "

It would appear to be an active X dll

I have tried the follows things to correct without success.

Renamed the offending files User32.dll & HHCTRL.ocx

Deleted the offending files.
Ran SFC /scannow
Did a defrag
Did a volume error check from computer properties
menu.
Tried a system restore but it says unable to do so since nothing has been changed

This has only occurred in the last few days and all my usual programmes are running fine.

I do hope somebody out there can help me

Regards

Arf
