DIVX Player

I've just bought a DVD player that can play DIVX Movies.
Most of the movies on my PC are AVI files, but due to age of my PC (6yrs +!!) converting and burning them using Nero Vision takes 5hrs+.
apparently you can simply burn a DVD with the files on, without having to convert them, and the DVD player will see all of the movies on the dvd.
is this true? Would i need disks other than DVD+RW?
As i say, I use Nero, is it possible to use this program?
thanks for any help!

DivX Player, Plays, records them to DVD+R/-R/+RW/-RW (and CD's If I remember Correctly).

Yep, you can just burn a data DVD with the .avi's in them and play them. It'll show up as a list menu on the TV. Just select the one you want and you're away.

Nero does the job.

I would check your Players capabilities and check it can take DVD-RWs. i would just use DVD-R or DVD+Rs. They're cheaper anyway.
