DivX to DVD conversions?

  doom-tube 14:22 13 Jan 04

Before I had a DVD burner, I copied my mini-DV tapes and converted them into DivX so I could get a reasonable amount of video onto a CD-R as my standalone DVD player can read DivX. Somebody else now wants to view my footage and I now need to convert the DivX into a DVD format that any standalone player can read. Any help? I no longer have the original tapes so cannot re-render. Any advice appreciated.

i use Nero5.5 (with required MPEG-2 plug-in)

what software, if any, came with your DVD burner, as most can do this job.

I've got Nero 6 but couldn't find a way to do it. If I try to create a DVD video, it's insisting that DivX is an unexpected file format and stops working at that point. I guess I'm short of the plug-in.

the plug-in is for (MPEG-2) the DVD format which you convert to.

do you have the latest divX codecs click here

i have had problems with some divX files, i think there are different types.

"The DVD-Video Plug-in and the HE-AAC Plug-in are already included in the Nero 6 retailpackage and the webversion." - so you already have the plug-in

have you updated Nero6 to the latest version, click here and Nero Express if you have that.

i meant to say "and Nero VisionExpress, if you have that."
