Disposal of old PC

I am disposing of an oversized doorstop, aka a compaq presario purchased originally in 1992. I am under no illusions that it is worth anything. No school in this country would want it and the cost of shipping abroad outweighs any residual value. Some parts (the CD, floppy) I have already reused elsewhere. The memory, a whopping 16mb, and the processor (an evergreen 386 upgrade) might just be of use for someone running a heritage system. I recall a report that NASA was after 386 processors for their up to the minute space programme.
Could someone refresh my memory on this?

dont know about nasa, but do know that london underground noses around ebay to keep there old system upand running.

as the processor and memory types are know longer made someone may pay a few puond to keep an old system up and running.

Skip it, anything else is not worth the hassle.
