Displaying my computer picture on the television

I have a TV-out port on the back of my laptop and have just bought a scart adaptor so that I can watch DVDs on the television.

I have plugged the cable in but I'm not getting a picture on the television.

I have found a program (TV Tool) that I have read may be necessary but it asks me what model of graphics card I have. I have no idea what model I have.

How do I find out?

Thanks for your help,
Steve

Select in My Computer display properties and you will come across the options to output to a TV. Sometimes there is a hotkey assigned to this like F8 and you should also be able to position the picture etc........
