Having problems.....

I have Packard Bell Easy Note laptop R1004 and trying to display through Sharp LCD TV model LC-32ST1E. Running XP.

The laptop instructions say use S-Video cable out. Have tried this - into the S-Video in socket on the TV. Nothing.

The TV manual says use RGB cable from TV Ext3 to laptop. It says nothing about S-Video at all. Have tried this, likewise nothing.

Another E machine laptop works fine with the same TV on S-Video cable link. Running Vista.

Help please?

Your display adapter may not be set up to use a secondary display, or not set to have the secondary display parameters set for TV.

Look in Display Properties.

I have gone to Control Panel-Display Properties-Settings.

There is a window with a large rectangle labelled 1 and a smaller rectangle labelled 2.

Do I click rectangle 2 and tick the box "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" ?

Then apply, then OK

Still not clear i'm afraid!

Can you please expand upon your suggestions in Display Properties vis-a-vis "secondary display parameters" ?

I can't see any reference to this in Dispaly Properties.

Thanks
