Display problem

  Murray1 09:38 22 Aug 03

I had a dual boot system, Win98 SE and Win 2000 Pro. The hard drive failed, fitted new drive, and clean installed Win98. Now I can only get a 640 x 480 display. Win update say it is most suitable driver (it is a VGA driver) I tried to install a SVGA driver but it does not function. Previous to the failure I had no problems. Any advice appreciated Thanks

You need to install the graphics driver specific to the card make and model. Same for the monitor too.

The VGA driver is the default basic Windows driver.

What make and model card is it?

What make and model Monitor?

Hi Jester, Took graphic card out to see the make, and found the driver on one of those multi-ware cd's. All is now well! Many thanks
