display - defaults to Windows

My brain cells are going...... I have forgotten how to restore my normal screen display. When I boot up the screen now defaults to the Windows display. Then I have to click on File - Close then it returns to my normal screen display with my favourite icons. No big deal but I would like to boot straight into my normal display.
I could solve this when I was young!

You will probably find the answer in the desktop setting look for the icon if you are win98 on the task bar or right click the task bar and choose properties
