disk is write-protected

I have run the McAfee Virus Scan and it has listed a number of files in my C:/Restore which are not required.
I cannot delete them as I get the message"disk is write-protected".
Can anyone advise how to overcome this problem?
Many thanks

If its XP. Before running ths scan right click on My Computer and choose system restore tab. Click the box that says turn off system restore. Then ok. Now run the scanand you should be able to delete the files. Reboot then remove the tick to re-enable the system restore

Either leave them there and do not restore to those points or (as peeviously advised) turn SR off then on again click here
