Disc space

I have a Sony pc with a partitioned hard disc. By default everything is on drive C which is only 30gb. Following installation of half life 2 I have noticed that it is 3/4 full. I de-installed it and tried to install on D drive but it wouldn't install so I put it back on C drive. Since doing this I seem to have even less space than before! I have loads of free space on drive D but seem unable to put programs on it. Can anyone help.

you should use add/remove progs from control panel to remove it then reboot. Install it again using custom install and send to d: drive. You could also do this with other progs if you wish. It may also be useful to run the clean disk wizard from start - progs - accessories - system tools.
