disc consistancy?

  wesparmalee 11:28 08 Oct 03

During a recent boot-up,i was given a message telling me that windows would check on of my discs for consistancy. It gave me the option of cancelling this, but highly recommended i continue.I let it check the disc,no problems, and then the pc booted up as normal. Why did this happen? Thanks.

Maybe you didn't shut down properly?

Was it a Blue and yellow screen? if so it was just Scandisk.

Glad you raised this question. I have recently upgraded my harddrives [2] and also installed XP Pro on the main drive.WME on the slave drive.I am having the same problem,as you, but with regular occurance.

How many drives do you have, and what is your operating system's.Do you have a message about FATS 32?.
