Disc allocation XP-most of "D" unused

  driving man 16:56 07 Jul 07

I have moved this from absolute beginners
My laptop has a large disc which is split into 2 equal parts.
"C" holds downloaded programs and files and has a capacity of 51GB
"D" holds the data of the operating system and has a capacity of 53GB--------most of which is unused'
My Question is how can I move the free space on D to the partition of C.
I cant believe the space sits there to be unused

resize the partition with something like

"THE RAVEN" Thank for your input which I tried but the program informs me it is a trial version and can't carry out the requested tasks.
Also what were the letters and figures that followed your "click me"

the letters dont mean anything just ignore sometimes happens when trying to insert a "click here"

I take it you want a free partition manager or free way of doing it

do you want a partition?or just delete it?

whatever you do. Do not delete the partition.

It holds your operating system backup.

email me via the yellow envelope. I have an old copy of partition software.

Why worry about resizing at all - Why not just start installing programs and saving data on D?

I sent the email to [email protected]

I'll try via the yellow envelope.
