Disbale automatic display resolution?

  sobeitjedi 16:14 27 Dec 04

I have a Dell C400 laptop with Windows XP. I want the display resultion to be 800 * 600 but each time I log in/startup it automatically diverts to a higher resolution. When the laptop is not in the docking station/port replicator, this does not happen - it's only when the docking station is used. I've tried another docking station and the same thing happens.

I shut down using 800 * 600 and when booting up, windows will automatically calibirate to the best possible display. How do I disable this?

Thanks in advance for your help.
