Disappearing Windows Explorer

  arrow 13:29 07 Dec 07

When I ran ME Windows explorer was on the starter menu, and disc defrag was available in the schedule tasks menu. Since "upgrading" to XP SP2, I have been unable to find Windows Explorer and I cannot schedule disc defrag!! Will somebody please help a dinosaur? Many thanks,

Thank you buteman. When I do as you say and click on Windows Explorer the next screen is My Documents, with no mention of Windows Explorer.

I think you will find out where you were was Windows Explorer. It's the exact same on mine as what it is on yours,I have XP Home Edition. It just looks like another version of my Documents.Unless someone else says different.

To get into Windows Explorer you just need to hold down the Windows key (near space bar) and press E. It may open up as My Documents but you can explore by changing the Address bar.
