Disabling the onboard graphics?

  Tigger1 19:57 18 May 03

I have been trying to disable my on board graphics so i can use my new graphics card but cant find an option in BIOS. The on board is a SIS 530, I am operating ME and the new card is a PNY Verto MX440SE. Can anybody give me some suggestions. I have put the new card in but it isnot being recognised due to the onboard. Hope you can help.

Is there an option there to tell the machine what to use for the display? It may say something like OnBoard or the likes.

Otherwise I can only suggest going to your mobo manufacturer site and having a look at the mobo manual.

Get Aida32 and it will identify your mobo for you I think. click here

On a computer that I have used on the desktop go to properties, settings, advanced then get the old name of the graphics onboard chip, and there might be a disable box.

Just a suggestion.
