disable AVG antivirus

To use the colourvision printer calibration programme, I need to disable my AVG antirus component.
I have searched through the AVG interface/Help and cannot find out how to do this. Other components can be disabled, but not antivirus so far as I can see.
I have seen other items like this on this forum, but I have not found an answer on the antivirus component.
Does anyone know how to do this??

How about tools.advanced settings.Scroll to near the bottom to temporary disable AVG protection and see if that works.

Thanks, Nontek, but Resident Shield appears as a separate component from Antivirus on the interface - will disabling Resident Shield really disable Antivirus? I notice that Antivirus is still shown as "Active".
Any comment?

Probbably the resident shield that is stopping it and not the anti-virus.I would try it with the resident shield switched off.
