DirectX Direct Draw problem - maybe?

We are trying to run a new game on my daughters laptop. At installation we get the message >
'100% DircetX compliant 16mb or equivalent £D video card required'
The card is NVidia GeForce FX Go5600 and drivers are up to date according to Hardware Update Wizard. I've run dxdiag and notice that although there are NO Problems showing in the Display Tab notes, and the Direct Draw tests have run OK, in DirectX Features, I see >
Direct Draw Acceleration 'not available'
Direct3D Acceleration 'not available'
AGP TRexture Accelerator 'not available'

The Disable buttons alongside are greyed out.

This is the end of my knowledge. I suspect a problem here but may be wrong - any help welcome.

DirectX is version 6.14.0010.4483, system XP Home.

Thanks! By the way, the game is childrens, for grandson, nothing that would have dodgy content.

Sounds like you need a newer Direct X version - it is currently Direct X 9.0C

DirectX IS version 9.0c - what I typed was the Driver version. Sorry guys - any other ideas?

Under the display tab where the feautures boxes are greyed out, in the notes section underneath it says 'Direct3D funcionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer'
Maybe I should check that rather than relying on the hardware wizard?

in fact I'll do that now and post back so as not to waste any ones time..

As you say, take a look at the nvidia site and download the relevant driver from there.
