I recently accidentally did a quick format on a DVD+RW disk in DirectCD by mistake . Does anyone know of a way to undo the format or recover the data?

ISOBuster can be used to recover from CDR and CDRW but don't know about DVD+RW. The site says yes but never tried it on DVD only CD.

Good luck!

Thanks Mac & Beth for your reply - downloaded the software but it only suceeds in crashing my system each time I try to start the programme and I then have to re-start the machine. Think I'm fighting a losing battle to retrieve the data.

Yes, tried it but reads the disk as a blank disk - No repairs necessary or words to that effect - thanks anyway!

Managed to recover part of the data - a programme called Badcopy worked to a certain extent when no other software could read the drive.
