I recently installed DX9 ever since then my computer froze very 10- 20 minutes. On doing a system restore my comp is now running fine. However when trying to access the Direct x diagnostic tools I get message"Could not find DXDIAGN.DLL" How can I restore this without putting Directx 9 back on. WINXP with Athlone 1.3

If you have your Win XP Cd, you can put it into the CD and, assuming your PC is set to boot from CD, restart the PC. If not, set the PC to boot from CD in the Bios, then restart with XP CD in Drive.

You should get an option to repair XP. Choose that. If that doesn't work, post back.

In fact, post back either way :)

PS it should repair to directX 8.1
