can anyone tell me why when i test direct x on my system the cube with DIRECT X on it,instead of spinning normaly(slow)spins too fast to see the logo on it? i have direct x 9c xthrows up no error and everything else seems ok.i'm running win xp home with 6600gt graphics card, athlon 2.6+ cpu.this has not just happened so it's not fresh software trouble it's been going on since i formated and re-installed xp home some months ago.

Flyingbrit, it's not a direct x problem. Just open your Nvidia control panel, go in to "Performance and Quality Settings" and turn on vertical sync.

When you rerun dxdiag, the cube should run at a speed you can see.

HTH, dagwoood.
