I am not very computer literate .

Hi there exmariner, you seem to have slipped through the net.

What you require very much depends on the capabilities of your standalone DVD player. Look here for what it will/will not play. Also more info on transferring video etc.

You will need to transfer your photos across to your computer using the camera connection and USB ,if available on your computer, to the hard drive.

An alternative is to use a USB card reader to download from your flash memory card.

Once on your hard drive you should be able to use your CD writer to produce a 'VCD' which 'may' be playable on your DVD player. One such prog is nero.

Another method is to make a slide-show using perhaps 'nero' or 'irfanview', or some other prog capable of writing slide shows. Irfanview is free from here

Another method is to take your memory card to Jessops or other retailer/photographic shop and ask if they can transfer to CD or DVD for you.

That is a brief outline, post back if you require further info. Bear in mind that nero did have a limit of 99 photos on their slide-show writing. Not sure about that now.

PS,

Some DVD players will read jpeg files so a simple transfer of files from HD to CD may be possible.
