Digital camera card damaged

I have a secure digital camera card that I took out of the camera before i switched the power off...... now it wont work... i have recovered the images... but can i restore the card back to working again?

Will it format in the camera? If not, format it in the PC and then try to format in the camera.

Much better, if you can, to reformat in the camera. Try that first.

I have heard of problems with cards not being recognised that have been re-formatted in a card reader attached to the PC. However, if the first method fails, you have nothing to lose.

It's always advisable to reformat a card in the camera itself and another reason too for not deleting the images on the camera whilst being used on your computer system.
