Differing Threats on Email?

I've noticed a different type of threat in my email inbox lately.

I keep getting emails telling me I've got a ecard with a link in it to click to take me off to what is probably some nefarious site. I'm getting one of these a day so I know it's not a genuine one as I'm not that popular!!!

Also, I keep getting emails wiht a pdf file attached which I'm also suspicious about.

Are there new threats out there we need to be aware of?

i say you just put the messages in your junk folder or delete them opening the file could cause serious harm :)

No, this is an old one...if you go to the site a trojan will attempt to download but on the sites that I have tried AVG stepped in immediately. Best thing to do is delete and forget about them.

A genuine ecard notification will always tell you who it is from by name.

These type of e-mails have been around a little while now - as GANDALF <|:-)> suggests I just Delete them instantly.

you could also try mailwasher click here which will stop the mails from ever reaching your computer in the first place when used correctly
