difference in reading web forum pages

logged on to a forum not this one. In vista the reply threads are listed below each other like on this forum. but viewing in XP after the the firsty entry the reply threads are listed like a windows explorer tree like style.

both computers using IE8.

Would it be down to the web page handling the view different or is it a setting I need to change. the web site in question [houseprice crash] is not managed very well so I thought i would seek advice here to eliminate my end.

You can usually choose how you like to read threads on the site itself - perhaps you've made different choices on each system (by accident perhaps?)

had a second look round the site and found the option to change from linear+ to standard this did the trick thanks.
